Set up NetScaler BLX cluster
NetScaler BLX cluster is a group of NetScaler BLX instances working together as a single system. Each NetScaler BLX instance is called a node. NetScaler BLX cluster can have one instance or as many as 32 instances as nodes.
Before you begin
-
Ensure that you understand the NetScaler cluster feature. For more information, see NetScaler Cluster.
-
Ensure that the following configurations are present on the Linux host of all the NetScaler BLX instances:
- NTP is configured on each Linux host.
Note:
-
For information about configuring NTP on Oracle Linux, see the Oracle Linux documentation.
-
For information about configuring NTP on Ubuntu Linux, see the Ubuntu Linux documentation.
-
For information about configuring NTP on CentOS Linux, see the CentOS Linux documentation.
-
- Logging and
rsyslogsettings are configured for NetScaler BLX logs.
- NTP is configured on each Linux host.
-
Ensure that the core dump is enabled on all the NetScaler BLX instances. For more information about enabling core dumps, see Configure compressed core dumps for NetScaler BLX.
-
Cluster is supported only for NetScaler BLX instances.
-
All general prerequisites of a NetScaler cluster apply to the NetScaler BLX cluster.
Note:
For more information about the general prerequisites for setting up a NetScaler cluster, see General Prerequisites for NetScaler cluster.
-
For information about the NetScaler features supported in a NetScaler BLX cluster, see NetScaler features supportability matrix for NetScaler BLX cluster.
- For information about automating NetScaler deployments using Terraform, see:
- NetScaler BLX cluster setups are not supported in public cloud platforms. For example, AWS cloud.
Limitations of a NetScaler BLX cluster
The NetScaler BLX cluster has the following limitations:
-
CLAG-based traffic distribution is not supported.
-
All limitations of a standalone NetScaler BLX apply to a NetScaler BLX cluster as well.
For more information about the limitations of standalone NetScaler BLX, see NetScaler BLX limitations.
Set up NetScaler BLX cluster
To set up NetScaler BLX cluster, follow the general procedure for setting up a NetScaler cluster at NetScaler Cluster.
